Non-profit advisory, from registration to annual compliance

Trusts, societies and Section 8 companies answer to the Charity Commissioner, the income tax department, the MCA and, for foreign funds, the Ministry of Home Affairs. We handle each stage so the organisation can focus on its work.

The non-profit lifecycle

What a typical organisation needs, in order.

  1. Choose the structure and register as a trust, society or Section 8 company
  2. Obtain PAN, open bank accounts and register on NGO Darpan
  3. Apply for provisional income tax exemption and 80G approval
  4. Register in Form CSR-1 to receive CSR funds from companies
  5. Build a three-year track record, then apply for FCRA registration if foreign funds are planned
  6. Every year: fund-wise accounts, audit, Charity Commissioner filings, income tax returns, donation statements and FCRA returns
  7. Renew registrations before they expire
